Octo Push BatsAt ABEL Engineering we were fed up of playing Octo Push with cheap wooden bats that the paint wears away and peals off, eventually rot and break. Some people had made bats out of various other materials, some legal some not; i.e. some floated and some didn't. It was therefore decided that if the correct design, machining process and material selection were used, these problems could be overcome. So here is the answer, YOUR NAME PUSH BATS.
The bats are made from a tough and durable material that has excellent chemical resistance including chlorine, a low coefficient of friction for fast play, long passes and shots at the goal! The density of the material is just below that of fresh water and therefore is as heavy as you can get it for power on the puck, whilst still being buoyant in the water. The standard of finish on the bats is first class. The wrist loops are of 6mm Kernmantel Power Cord. This is a soft breaded cord that is comfortable and attractive in appearance yet very strong. The static load breaking strain for the cordage is 720kg. As a special offer for promoting this new line, we will give the first 250 orders their money back in 25 years time. The only provision to this is that they should still be playing push with our bats on a regular basis in BOA league games. What will all this cost, twenty-five pounds per pair. If this seems like an exorbitant cost for a tough, top quality, personalized item, think again, twenty five pounds for twenty five years. A pound a year for the next twenty five years. Could you ever be bothered making your own push bats again?
